If you’re anything like me, then you love pens!
Getting excited over a pen, may seem strange to some, but consider the large variety of colors and styles of pens available today, who wouldn’t get ‘charged up’ over a good pen?
The feel of the pen between your fingers, the grip, the way the ink glides smoothly over a sheet of paper… Ah! just like a hot knife through butter!
Pens of one type or another have been used for thousands of years. But pens have come a long way since the feather!
Today, pens rank among the most widely used writing instruments. More than 2 billion pens are manufactured annually. That says a lot especially in the age of computers keyboards and texting! The pen remains timeless!
A successful promotion starts with one great product, and often it’s a writing instrument. Almost every successful branding program or giveaway includes a pen, whether it’s for a local business, corporate event or national retail campaign. And there’s good reason for it: Nothing works as efficiently at reinforcing a message as a writing instrument.
Writing instruments are inexpensive, easily imprinted, available in an unlimited number of styles and colors, never out of style and, most importantly, useful to everyone who receives them.
And what other product has such staying power?
Think about it…how many pens do you have on your desk? In that ‘catch-all’ drawer in the kitchen? In the glove compartment in your car?
If you’re trying to find the right product for your next campaign, consider the fact that businesspeople are more likely to hold on to the product for a long time if the product is useful.
Writing instruments are kept for a long time because business people use them over and over again.
In a recent study, writing instruments are the most-recalled advertising specialty items (54% of respondents recall owning them).

I LOVE pens! Don’t you?
